Irene Payan
Project Associate
Irene Payan's duties as a project associate at DSO include acting as a community liaison, individual and group project education, scheduling public speakers, coordinating community presentations and meetings, and event planning.
Ms. Payan's DSO projects have included:
- California Air Resources Board (CARB) Clean Air Zone
- Faculty Association of Community Colleges' (FAAC) Membership Recruitment Campaign, Southern California Membership Coordinator
- LAUSD School Construction Outreach Program
- Metro Gold Line
- Sound Energy Solution (SES) Liquid Natural Gas Facility Project
Prior to joining the DSO team, Ms. Payan spent several years working for Spanish-language radio stations in marketing and advertising and has several years of experience in the area of interior design and company management. Her years of community work with a variety of targeted groups make her particularly effective in working on outreach efforts.
A resident of Highland Park, Ms. Payan attended Roosevelt High School and Los Angeles City College. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. Ms. Payan has been with DSO since 1994.
